These investments are held in the name of the President of India, and they make the presidential stock portfolio. As of February 2024, the President of India’s portfolio has a net worth exceeding Rs.25,00,000 crores and includes investments in around 70+ companies spread across different sectors in the Indian stock market. Dominant among these sectors is more than 50% stake in the banking & finance sector, with other investments in utilities, oil and gas, general industrials, metals & mining and coal sector. In terms of value, the biggest holdings in this institutional portfolio are stocks from KIOCL Ltd, Punjab & Sind Bank, Life Insurance Corporation of India.
