This portfolio includes assets that have been consolidated by the government of India under the Enemy Property Act, 1968. It allows the government to take possession of properties belonging to individuals who are deemed ‘enemies’ of the state. This law was originally enacted during the India-Pakistan War of 1965 to confiscate the properties of individuals who had migrated to Pakistan. The law was amended in 2017 to prevent the heirs of those who migrated to Pakistan and China during wars from reclaiming their inherited properties. The Enemy Property portfolio includes multiple minority stakes in different companies. With a total net worth of around Rs. 2 crores as of February 2024, the firm has more than 70% of its investment in the realty sector. With other major investments in automobiles & auto components and cement & construction sector. Enemy Property’s portfolio has a good mix of both small-cap and mid-cap companies, which include entities like VST Industries Limited, Swan Energy Limited, and Hindustan Motors Limited.
