One of the leading public sector banks in India, Canara Bank is listed on the NSE and the BSE. Founded in 1906, the bank has a legacy spanning over a century. Today, it has expanded its range of services to include personal and commercial banking, investment banking, asset management, retail banking and more. With regard to its investments in the Indian stock market, Canara Bank’s portfolio is valued to be around Rs.3,500 crores as of February 2024. A significant portion of this can be traced back to the bank’s investments in Can Fin Homes Limited, which is a housing finance company promoted by Canara Bank itself.
