Introduced in 2010, the Baron Emerging Markets Fund is a diversified mutual fund scheme offered by Baron Funds. It focuses on investments in emerging companies that hold promise for tremendous growth in the future. Around 20% of its assets are typically invested in fast-growing companies in developing countries and emerging economies such as India and China. As of February 2024, the portfolio of this growth-focused fund is diversified across some key sectors in the Indian market, with more than 60% of its investment in banking and finance sector. Other sectors include diversified sector and chemicals & petrochemicals with a net worth of around Rs. 2, 300 crores.
