The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) is an investment institution founded in 1976 to manage the oil reserves of the Emirates. The sovereign wealth fund, owned by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is now estimated to have assets worth around $853 billion under its management. The ADIA invests its funds on behalf of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in different countries around the world, including India. With a portfolio value around Rs. 2,900 crores in the Indian stock market as of February 2024, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is one of the strongest Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) in the country. Its key investments are in Phoenix Mills Ltd, Aavas Financiers Ltd, Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd and Cyient Ltd.
